Ann E. Melick, M. D.

Ann E. Melick, M. D. is a native of the Zanesville area. She attended The Ohio State University where she graduated summa cum laude in 1986. She then graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1991, where she was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she won the Harry Plotke Award due to her excellent clinical skills associated with compassion and concern for her patients. Following her residency, Dr. Melick completed fellowship training in the subspecialty of glaucoma at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She then entered practice with Eye Surgery Associates in 1997, the same year that she became a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

She has lectured to lay and medical groups about various medical and surgical topics in the eye care field. Dr. Melick regularly attends national and international meetings.
Dr. Melick stays very busy outside of the office with her husband and son. She also enjoys participating in equestrian events where she competes as a show jumper and occasional fox hunting.
